Well its not really a logo, I don't know the correct definition for a logo, but I made this, as I have seen many websites using sleek logo designs, and was hopeing I could implement them into a website I make if I make one.
I made one today for errors. I sourced it from vista, but It was made entirely by me in photoshop. (and some tutorials) Well here it is, I'm open for crit :D ![]() And heres it with a little vista background ![]() -------------------- "The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary."

This is VERY good, It looks as if Microsoft computers should have this image pop up for errors. Nice.

Look on the outside of the vista one, it looks like theres a yellow outline. Very very sleek, I absolutely love it. Very sexy indeed.

Thanks man!
Oh yea, I can see the yellow line now. It wasn't meant to be like that, I think its just cause I put it on that background. -------------------- "The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary."

What, you'll let this topic die so easily, by not posting in it for two days? NOT WHEN I'M AROUND.
I see the yellow outline on both too, as Nubbeh was talking about. Layer blending options, if i remember correctly? Something called something like that. Anyway, in there photoshop has the default color set to something yellow like that, i think, so maybe you just accidentally left it ticked, or forgot to change the color or something? Definitely check it out before using it somewhere, or making a new one.

The silvery texture and the red cross was just too sexy for that vista background, plus the same logo in the site's red background. It's just so fitting! I don't know much about photoshop but i don't think that yellow outline is disturbing the logo's awesomeness in any way.
Yes, i love it! -------------------- Coming soon...WAIT!

@Tonney: I did have a "blending whatyoucallit" style called "stroke" which put a ring round the outside. However I set the color as grey, and never intended it to be yellow. It was because it look as if It were "cut-out" without it. I don't really know any way I could change it... Just make it more greyer?

A very nice and shiny icon indeed ^^, the only way you could improve would be to practice.
But if you are going to use it for a site, (if it was me) i would definitly make a layout first and make the icons fit in with the design, not make icons then make a design to fit with them. Just what I think would be easy Anyway, good job! -------------------- Previous user names: Masterstick !Tom AsianNinja

Yea definately. I can make a site. But It takes ages to code. And I needed icon practice. SO rather than making a site for every icon, I made an icon for sites :P. Just to speed things up a bit. Anyway, If I do make the site, I would definately make the main layout beofre stuff like icons.
Thanks for your input! -------------------- "The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary."
