The only thing i dont really like about the site is the colors...
Maybe we can add some type of style to it. Right now it looks like defaulted red and black.

Im not saying im disgusted with it... I just think that it should look a different way.

What you see right here is my 'best' designing skills I have, I tried my best to make it look as good as possible and eventually it turned out to be like this

My idea was actually to what for the community to get active a bit and ask designers to help me design a new layout which we could use for SB

I kind of agree, it looks quite plain but I'm not good at designing. Colour schemes are not my forte, if I had to choose a colour scheme I probably would choose black and red.

Although if the website had an "official colour" like FA has that kind of pale blue.

i kinda like the design but there's not banner and the info for the user and the navigation is small to me

I really like red and black, the banner could do with a little spicing up but i really enjoy the colour scheme. Perhaps an option to customise colours would be interesting to look into...

There is nothing wrong with the design imo. Although a larger header would be nice. As for the colour scheme, its a nice combo. Dark Grey, Dark Red and White. Its the perfect modern feel. As for the bg, it does seem a bit bland, need a few more lines and stuffz.

TBH, with a flash community, I would have thought a flash homepage would be in order however I have no knowledge of creating flash websites so I guess I couldnt help out there O_O seems a bit drastic, yes, but flash homepage's are pretty awesome.

I know I aint a mod or nothing, but we could grab a list for anyone wanting to make a homepage in flash. If there are enough people and enough demand, perhaps it could be considered an option?

Things like a 'homepage' is really something we'd prefer to make ourselves.
You can always give us ideas, but I don't think I want 'members' to create our homepage.

I have to say I like red & black. I like the layout but I think it's plain a bit.

I'd like to remind everybody that the current color scheme is red and gray, not red and black. And I like it how it is, goes together well.

TheAnimPlanet and FA are examples of websites that have extremely elaborate homepages.

This website's only in its nanu stages, so we probably should concentrate on bugs or getting our website known than making a beautiful homepage. Im happy with what the website looks like at the moment.

I agree with Matt here, our main priority is to get a solid community

I still like the input, if someone has the skills to design a whole site that might be interesting as for the Fontpage html rather than flash is the best solution atm

I just think that new posts on the forum homepage should be highlighted more that just having the text in bold
And I guess if you have time Bas you could gradually add some useless dynamic things to make it look flashier
