Yo,

Last week I noticed a few portal entries had quite a lot of votes (some had around 100 votes) and relatively low scores.
Then I figured out that quite a lot of votes are caused by search engine bots so called 'crawlers'.

The votes made by the following IP addresses will be revoked within a few days, if you want to object now is the time :P

66.249.*.* - Google
122.164.*.* - Zombie PCs/Servers
and probably a few others

I will also take preventive measures to limit this behavior as it currently has a negative effect on the portal contents.

Status update

I decided to postpone this a little while, might be a better idea to take care of this as soon as we release the SB Soldiers update.
That way I will prevent the 'abuse' as far as I can and then we don't have to deal with it again, rather than doing it twice.

This also gives me a bit more time to see what IP addresses I will remove from the voting table.
