Hi guys,not sure if anyone knows me, but it has been well over a year since I last
tried my hand at animating anything.
( or posted on any forums :( )

But last weekend I took some time out of my day and started messing around in flash.

Anyways it was really fun, and now I'm going back re-doing some effects in my project.
That being said, it is still far from being done. (I have around 18 secs so far)
But, we'll see how it goes. I'm hoping it will be my first complete solo project that's
over 10 seconds, but who knows?

Anyways, I'll post some screenshots when I actually flesh out a background
or make any interesting scenes.

This thread was more created to PUSH myself to finish this animation.
Because, in the past, I've at least attempted 4 big projects that have all ended nowhere.

Thanks for stopping by, hopefully I can show you guys some of my work soon enough.
Also, feel free to suggest some songs for the animation. (I currently have nothing in mind)

Spent most of my time redoing the first action related thing in the animation, because
of my poor organization, had to retime most of the animation too.

Pushing about 23 seconds now.

Animation process is going slowly, because of other things going on.

Still need to work out backgrounds, vcam, and effects,
but the "actual animation" is around the 35 sec mark.

NOTE: messed around with some sounds but it seemed mismatched to what I had animated

At 41 seconds now. :/

I'm glad to hear your gettin back into animation. Its a really good outlet for creativity. I hope you do some stuff to show us soon. As for songs...its hard to know what sort to put in if we dont know what its about or if its action or suspense etc. :)

Hey, thanks for the reply.

As for the music, it is just a standard stick vs stick dude fight.
So music that doesn't have any huge rises, something consistent, so it can
be heard in the background and doesn't take away from the animation.
(or forces me to animate stops or super moves depending on the music)

I'll be animating on select days, so I don't burn out on the project.
So, there will probably no real progress till Saturday.

I'm hoping to update this thread as frequently as possible, so everyone
feel free to leave comments or suggestions.

This song might be a bit 'slow' so I'm not really sure if it's any good but at least you can use it quite well as a background song

There is at least one good thing though :P if you would release this anim now you already managed to reach your goal (release an animation longer than 10 sec ;) )

If you want to do a lot of different stuff you could always go for a lot of shorts but I would suggest one setting and let everything happen there be creative and use your imagination
Personally I really like new and interesting animations that are almost 'random' so to say you can just sit back and relax let the animator give you a 'tour' into his (sick:P) mind with his animation (if that makes any sense)

And, yeah, I understand the random idea. But I think I've got an enough of
a animation so far to keep it going for at least 10 more seconds. (as a fight)

I might try the random idea afterward, though, because it'll probably prevent
me from burning out on a project so fast.

School works got me pretty busy, but I'm going to try to get some animating done
tomorrow.
